Our Data Sources

We believe in transparency about where our data comes from. BullionRush.in sources price data from:

IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association) — the primary source for India gold rates, published twice daily at 11 AM and 5 PM on market days.
metals.dev — a licensed precious metals data API that aggregates international spot prices from LBMA and MCX.
IOC, BPCL and HPCL — official oil marketing company notifications for petrol and diesel rates.
Local jeweller associations — MJDMA (Chennai), KGJA (Bangalore), KGDA (Kochi) for city-specific premiums.

All rates shown are indicative. Final prices at a jeweller may differ due to making charges, GST, and local premiums.

How Prices Are Updated

Our backend fetches live gold and silver prices twice daily — at 11:01 AM and 5:01 PM IST on weekdays — immediately after IBJA announces rates. Prices are then processed and distributed to all city pages automatically.

City-specific rates are calculated by applying local jeweller association premiums to the national IBJA rate. These premiums reflect real-world pricing differences observed across cities.

The site was built with a focus on performance, accuracy and simplicity — we wanted to build the gold rate site we ourselves wished existed.
